Pay it Forward

Hi to all in blogger land,
I really want to start to blog on a regular basis. So here we go.

I love the movie Pay it Forward. I would love to see that come to reality. How awesome would that be. Well this is just a small example of pay it Forward but it is still cool.

We have a lot of people come down to 68ministries to do mission work. Some for a week and other come and stay for just a few days. We had two ladies come down for only three days and they brought a lot of items to leave for us to give away to those in need. While at Tuesday night Church my friend Anthony a Costa Rican asked me if I could help him with a new pair of shoes. His shoes had a big hole and he just got a job and needed a new pair. The fact that Anthony has a new job with a unemploment rate of 65% in Alajuelita is alone amazing. After seeing Anthony shoes I knew the ladies had left a brand new pair that might fit Anthony. I left Church after all I can't understand the Spanish language yet and went home to get the new shoes. I gave them to him and they fit. Part one of the story.

This Sunday we were at Church and what a great time we had. We have my friend Bob Switzenberg's group from Mason Michigan here for a week to do mission work. We had a full house at Church. The group went out before Church and invited the homeless people of Alajuelita to come. As Church was going on one of the homeless guys was standing in back and I noticed he had two different shoes on his feet. Both of the shoes were in beyond awful shape. I then noticed Anthony leaving Church on his bike. About 10 minutes he returned and took this homeless man over to the corner and gave him a nice pair of tennis shoes. Anthony told me someone gave him these shoes and he already had a new pair from the ladies so he wanted this man to have a good pair of shoes. Pay it Forward-in action!

  1. A great illustration of God's love passing on from your hands through another. Good job on the blog bro. You're becoming quite the webmaster these days.

  2. What a blessing! And what an encouragement to all of us! See what God can do with our small gestures of love?
God bless you and the teams that come to work along side you.
    I miss you!
